Quarter Past Four
A great time for harmony is Quarter Past Four!
In the summer of 2005, Jeff, Gordon, Paul and Bob gathered in a Minnesota
lake cabin to explore the mix of their voices and personalities. There was
no magic (Bob had a mosquito bite on his left vocal fold), but we did laugh
so hard that a pitch pipe squirted out of Gordon’s nose!
Though the members of Quarter Past Four share over 80 years of barbershop
harmony experience, this quartet hasn’t won any awards (yet), we haven’t
produced any recordings (yet) and we haven’t performed around the world
(yet). We do take pride in being genuinely nice guys and hope that nice guys
won’t finish last!
Jeff Grieve, formerly baritone with 1998 LOL District Champion quartet BreakPoint,
works in the credit card fraud department at US Bank. Paul Fladland used to
sing tenor with BreakPoint but has shifted to lead singer. He sells pianos
at Schmitt Music. Our bass Gordon Moe, sang with People’s Choice, 1992
LOL District Champions, and is self-employed as eBirdseed.com and gordonmoe.com.
Tenor Bob Bateman, owns Two Inlets Resort in Park Rapids, Minnesota and is
currently taking cabin reservations at TwoInlets.com.
We’re Quarter Past Four, but our friends call us 4:15!
